Maria Kontou is a highly experienced language tutor. She has spent the last 14 years teaching Greek as a foreign language to British diplomats, civil servants and private clients - almost all as individual lessons.

Maria is a graduate of Athens University (BA in Classics) and a postgraduate of King's College, London (MA in Modern Greek Studies). She holds a British Council Diploma in Translation.

Maria has spent eight years as a principal Greek language tutor at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office's Diplomatic Service Language Centre. Maria has also worked with other UK government Departments, the British Embassy in Athens and the Institute of Linguists.

Maria is now offering Greek language lessons in the Brighton, Hove and Lewes areas, East Sussex.
